Jat reservation bill gets approval from Haryana cabinet
Haryana cabinet has approved the Jat reservation bill to give them the reservation in government jobs and educational institutions.
The Akhil Bhartiya Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti on Sunday threatened to once again start the agitation, if their demands are not met by end of this month like they did in February. So to control the situation, this decision has been taken.
According to reports, The central government had earlier said that it will bring the bill to give reservation to Jats along with four more castes – Jat Sikhs, Bishnois, Tyagis and Rors in the going on Budget session, which is scheduled to end on March 31st .
Notably, in the last agitation that took place in February and entailed for nine days 30 people lost their lives.
