On International Women’s Day Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha pronounced that the nation will see its first batch of female fighter pilots on June 18, 2016.
For now three trainees have volunteered and are in the second phase and would be in the parade organized on 18 June, after complete training.
Asserting that all the three trainees should get commissioned on that day and become the first women officers in the fighter stream
Raha added it was AMC(Army Medical Corps) who provided women with this outstanding opportunity ,which would open gates to prove their valour in defence..
This was indeed a good blessing for women on International Women’s Day by Indian Army.
