India launched Surgical Strikes against suspected militants:- According to a report, the Indian army has launched Surgical Strike against the suspected militants along with the de -facto border with Pakistan in Kashmir.
As per a senior army official the operation was aimed to prevent attacks planned by Pakistan -based militants.
He further added, “significant casualties have been caused to the terrorists and those who are trying to support them.”
On the other hand, Pakistan has accepted that two of its soldiers were killed in cross border shelling. But, it has said that the notion of surgical strike which is linked to alleged terrorists is an illusion which is being deliberately created by Indian army.
The country also added that its soldiers died along the LOC, which divides the disputes region, but the firing from Indian army was unprovoked.

What had happened?
Tension between both the nations had increased after the Uri attack. It took place on September 18, 2016, which killed 18 soldiers. India has blamed Pakistan for the attacks, but Pakistan has denied all the claims.
In fact, India is also planning to take away the title of ‘most favoured’ nation from Pakistan. It was given by the Indian government to Pakistan in the year 1996.
Important facts about the strike
India’s military gave few details of the operation, it says it carried out overnight.
In a press conference, which was conducted by the Foreign Ministry and army, officials said that the operation was carried out to kill all those, who were trying to enter India.
Notably, after the operation all the villages in Punjab are on alert.
