The Haryana Government has decided to celebrate the birthday of girl students across all state run schools through the initiative ‘Kanya Janamdim Utsav’, which will be launched on Thursday.
A spokesman of Haryana’s education department said that birthday of girls will be celebrated as utsav and girl’s parents and panchayat members will be also a part of the event.
Recently, in the month of December the state recently noted improvement with the number of girls crossing 900 mark.
