Haryana allows the usage of injectable contraceptives
The Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar had launched project Salamati on Monday and also gave green signal to the usage of injectable contraceptive as a family planning measure.
With this Haryana has become the first state to implement the usage of injectable contraceptives. According to reports, the facility would be available free of cost at all health centres and district hospitals.
The project has been launched by Haryana government in association with Pathfinder International; it is an NGO, which deals with family planning and reproductive health.
It was earlier implemented in four blocks of state but now it has been implemented in the entire state.
