Shaktiman was a 13-year-old well trained horse of the Uttarakhand Mounted Police for many years.
Moreover, when the horse was deployed by the police during BJP rally, MP Ganesh Joshi had attacked the horse’s leg with a lathi, which made him critically injured for the remainder of its days.
The incidence of gross animal abuse grew outrage so large that MP Ganesh Joshi was briefly arrested.
A month after losing his left hind leg in the attacks, the Kathiawari horse succumbed to its injuries on April 20.
