30% of missiles failed in a primary test- CAG REPORT
The controller and the auditor General released a report in which they clearly stated that India India’s 30% Akash missiles failed in the primary tests. As the tension is going on in INDO-CHINA relationships on the Doklam sector.
The Indian Airforce is lacking behind as the CAG report stated that the Akash missiles are not ready it also stated that six squadrons of the missile system were to be deployed at six locations of an unidentified ‘S’ sector between 2013 and 2015 but this has not been done.
This delay has happened even after 4,000 crore has already been spent for building the infrastructure for installing the systems.
In a report tabled in the Lok Sabha today, the Comptroller and Auditor General said the strategic missile system procured from the state-run Bharat Electronics Ltd were deficient in quality. The missiles were to be deployed on the China border.
The report said missile systems were to be installed at the six designated sites between 2013 and 2015. But till date, none of the missile systems procured at a cost of RS 3,619 crore has been installed due to delay in execution of civil works at the sites concerned.
The CAG did not mention name of the strategic missile but sources said the auditor was referring to the Akash missiles.
The situation is looking tense
The situation which is going on between India and China is not going in India’s favour and as the CAG reports are not going looking as a good sign, if the war between India and China takes place India will have to be more powerful on the rounds of ammunitions as they are lacking behind.
