Earthquake hits Northeast India
An earthquake of moderate intensity hits the northeastern states and its adjoining Myanmar, Bangladesh and Bhutan on Monday morning around 4:35 am.
According to reports, six people died and due to collapse of building in Imphal 35 people got injured.
From Guwahati two NDRF teams have been sent to Imphal immediately. At around 9:30 am, a fresh tremor measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Manipur.
Official of the regional seismological centre said that “The quake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale, occurred at 4.37 a.m and had its epicentre in Manipur’s Tamenglong district bordering.
