As per reports, more than 23 mm of rain was recorded by the evening, which made Thursday the rainiest January day in the capital of this century. The heavy rainfall will result in a cool weekend in the capital and the temperature will return to near- normal level after remaining quite high from past three days.
According to the head of IMD’s Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, the capital is expected to witness very cold weather because another weather disturbance is likely to hit Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Several places in Delhi witnessed higher rain than Safdarjung.
