Shivraj to visit Mandsaur today : A visit to please the farmers
Heavy violence is going –on in Madhya Pradesh from past few days. The situation is very critical, specially in Mandsaur. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will be visiting Mandsaur today to meet the farmers and to find out a solution to this unending problem. The protest became violent after 6 farmers were killed during the police firing. Shivraj will be meeting the families of the killed farmers. Hardik Patel and Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia were arrested while they were going to Mandsaur. Notably, Jyotiraditya Scindia will be going to Bhopal and will protest there for 72 hours.
3 farmers committed suicide
3 farmers have committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh till now. These suicides took place within an interval of 24 hours. The three farmers were from Vidisha, Hoshangabad and Rehti respectively. The farmers were in debt. Due to heavy loss in their in their productions, they committed suicide. The heavy loans and not in a condition to pay back, peruaded them to commit suicide.
Scindia and Patel were arrested
Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia was arrested from Jawra, Madhya Pradesh. He was stopped in the Dhodhar area of the Ratlam district. He was going to meet the farmers in Mandsaur. Before leaving for Mandsaur he gave a statement saying that they are going to expose the government.
Before Scindia, the local leader Hardik Patel reached Neemach on Teusday. He was also trying to go to Mandsaur from Neemach. Due to curfue in Mandsaur no leader has the permission to visit there. Hardik Patel was arrested by the police, though he was released after some time.
Hardik Patel targetted Shivraj government and demanded an answer after the farmers were killed in the Police firing.
Shivraj was on a hunger strike
The Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan was on a hunger strike to maintain peace in the state. He started his fast on Saturday and after 27 hours, he broke the fast. He said that the farmers are not responsible for the mishap but the Congress. He said that it is a planned violence by Congress to interrupt the workings of the government.

There was a peaceful protest going on in Mandsaur by the farmers. This protest was to get a relief on their debts. On June 6, 2017 the local police of the area started firing on the mass and 6 farmers were killed in this firing. Many more farmers were injured who were taken to the nearest hospitals. After this rude behaviour of the police, the protest took a violent turn. Many leaders tried to visit the area after this incident including Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi but all were arrested. The area was under curfue and none of the leaders were allowed to visit there. The state government was targetted by opposition and many others. The protest is still on in many parts of the country.
