Bridge on Mumbai – Goa highway collapses, 22 people missing
According to reports, over 22 people have gone missing as a bridge linking Mahad and Poladpur on Mumbai- Goa highway washed away due to heavy rains in early hours of Wednesday.
Two state transport buses with 22 people onboard, which included 18 passengers, 2 drivers and 2 conductors, are missing after the bridge collapsed.

For the relatives of the missing passengers State transport department has started a helpline number (02141) 222118 and toll free number 1077.
Chetak helicopter and a sea king 42c all –weather aircraft has been already deployed to the location for the search operation by the Indian coast guard.
