BCCI signed a Memorandum with Afghanistan to provide home ground in India
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Afghanistan Cricket Board in order to support the Afghanistan for providing ground for playing cricket.
The newly-constructed Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida is commonly seen as a possible place for Afghanistan cricketers to play their international matches there.
According to Anurag Thakur,”The ICC has inspected the ground and found it appropriate to organize matches of the associate teams, Under-19 and domestic matches. Yet, it needs to meet a few more requirements for organizing an ICC-event match.”
Thakur asserted that the contract would not only build up the cricketing connections between the two countries but also improve their political relations.
