Assam shaken as 5.5 magnitude earthquake strikes India-Myanmar border
On early Tuesday morning, an earthquake which has been measured 5.5 magnitude on the Richter scale shook the entire Myanmar-India border region, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported.
While the bigger tremor has been felt along the India-Myanmar border and around 7:11 am in the morning, a smaller earthquake which has a magnitude of 3.1 also briefly struck the Karbi Anglong district in Assam. Tremors were also felt in Guwahati, Assam.

So far no casualties have been reported in this incident so far.
Earlier in April,an earthquake measuring a 6.9 on the Richter Scale has struck Myanmar, whose tremor was felt in parts of Kolkata, Guawahati, Patna, Bhubhaneswar and Delhi.
