AIR to start programs in Balochi language

In what can be seen as a huge step by the Indian government, the All

India Radio (AIR) is all set begin programs in Balochi language.

According to what AIR sources told ANI, the government has given

heading

approval for All India Radio to have programs in Balochi language.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed his support for the people

in Balochistan and the situation there, this step does not come as a

surprise.

AIR is officially known as Ākāshvāṇī and was started in 1956. It is

the national public radio broadcaster of India and also one of the

oldest radio broadcasters.
