30 January, 2016 marked the 68th death anniversary of the father of nation , Mahatma Gandhi.
He was assassinated in year 1948 by Nathuram Godse. As he held Mahatma Gandhi responsible for the partition of India thus he shot Gandhi in year 1948.
The day is observed as Martyrs day. Originally the martyrdom soldiers while defending the sovereignty during the freedom struggle was remembered on January 26 and this gave way to January 30.
Everyone on this day pay tribute to them by mourning for two minutes. Contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in India is indeed important and no one can forget that.
He believed in anti- violence and was the greatest man on this earth.
