Patna City has a rich historic culture:- People who think that Patna just only supplies laborers to other parts of the country, the city is much more than just that. In fact, this is a city with one of the richest culture and historical relevance in the country. Great scholars, philosophers, and writers have come from this land – Aryabhatta, Chanakya, Panini, Vatsyayana and Kalidasa to name a few. It is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. Pataliputra, i.e. Patna, was the capital city of the Mauryan Empire and home to many great warrior kings like Ashoka and Chandragupta and we are really proud of it.

Of Course, PATNA IS A CITY: Obviously, there is everything like light and electricity. You can get good food, proper hotel, restaurants and so a good life too. There are malls. Some of the main areas are Boring road, Bailey road, Frazer road and Gandhi Maidan and here you will find everything that you expect from a city. There might not be‘nightlife’ in this city, but the city definitely doesn’t sleep early.

Litti Chokhas

People think we are a pro at making Litti Chokhas:

This is the one true thing that you might have heard about Biharis . The moment you say that I am from Patna, people think you are a pro at making Litti Chokha

Mahavir Mandir:-

Mahavir Mandir is also known as Hanuman Mandir. It is nearby Patna Junction and many visitors first try to taste the religious culture of Bihar. The present structure was erected in 1987 with a distinct modernist take on traditional motifs. Winding queues of faithful on Saturdays and Tuesdays, the worshiping days of Lord Hanuman, are a sight not worth missing.

Bhojpuri is not the only language of Bihar, every Bihari is not the same:-

Most of the people think that ‘Bihari’ is a language, but obvious it’s not. Almost everyone speaks Hindi as well as English here. By the way, there are many dialects as we know, Bhojpuri being just one of them. Among the other dialects, Maghi and Maithili are also widely spoken here by the people of Bihar.

Lovers Point in Patna:-

Well, it’s really hard to find one! You can never get privacy in public place. But I know some places like Eco Park, Buddha Smriti Park, Dharbhanga Ghat and Patna Zoo. You can easily hangout there with your friends and loved ones. Remember that students keep visiting these places! Hope you understand what I mean! It’s really weird to see people making out at places like zoo or parks!

Else you can take her to a movie; there you will for sure get enough privacy. Have a lovely outing!!!

Gurudwara Patna Sahib

Takht Sri Patna Sahib Gurudwara:-

You all should come to Patna to watch HarMandir Takht because it is one of the five Takhts of Sikhism. The tenth and last Guru of Sikh, Guru Govind Singh was born here. The Gurudwara was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. One can experience great spirituality here. A small museum is also situated in Gurudwara.

No, We Don’t Do Only Government Job Here:-

It is also a true thing that people think about Biharis. I am also a Bihari and done my with my post graduation in Mass Communication from Delhi only. I would like to tell you that not all of us crave for a government job.

M V Ganga Vihar (Darbhanga House):-

Well, students and lovebirds love to come here to chill and hang out. Here you can go on a boat trip, which starts from Gandhi Ghat and goes till Gai Ghat, passing underneath the giant beams of Gandhi Setu at one point. Couples hang out here occasionally, kids play and bathe and if you look vaguely like a tourist you’ll be offered a short boat ride after negotiating the price. The trip which starts in evening provides a wonderful view of banks of Patna. The cool breeze and sunset add to the enjoyment and it makes a perfect evening. On weekend, special Aarti is undertaken by BSTDC at the Gandhi Ghat.

Gandhi Ghat

Pind Balluchi Restaurant:-

This restaurant is good but quite expensive for eating perspective. However, it has distinctive advantage of a wonderful view of the Gandhi Maidan and adjoining areas from the revolving platform of the restaurant. Well, this Restaurant is situated on the top floor of Biscoman Bhavan, the tallest building in Patna, which provides an awesome view of the City. Enjoy the city view while having food.

Hathua Market, where girls go crazy for shopping:-

This market is full of a rush because it is famous for clothes, especially visited by the women. However, the chaos and traffic that characterize the market make it differ from others. Shops, hawkers, rickshaws, autos and an innumerable number of people test one’s patience while marketing. Bargaining is widespread, and so does the pick-pocketing. Nevertheless, it happens to be the most preferred market of the city. As per my experience, you all should enjoy the marketing but with precaution and patience.

Maurya Lok Marketing Complex:-

Young people come here to throw parties and to hang out with their friends. This complex in located in the very heart of the City, near Dak Bunglow. People can do marketing or just enjoy its famous evening snacks like Chawmeen, Chat, Golgappe, Samosa etc. It has some good restaurants where one can enjoy evening craving.

The love for aaloos (potatoes), the endless fasts and rituals, the hoards of coaching centers, I just love the rush of all things here. Overall, Patna is quite an interesting place. For many people it may represent a lot of backwardness and chaos, but that is more of a perception than anything else. Well, you all should come here to experience Patna.
