THE BIRTH

THE BIRTH

The fear was unknown

Yet, had a presence of its own

I felt it resonating in my sighs

I felt it crushing any desires

Killing them the instant they aspired

To come to life

I struggled, I fought

I laughed, I mocked

I reasoned, I talked

I worried, I thought:

What stirred my placid state?

Was it loneliness?

Was it the crowd?

Was it the lost?

Was it the found?

The fear stayed quiet

I never stopped screaming

The fear stayed within

Yet I went on running

In the hope that I would escape

Far into a faraway place

The moment I surrendered

Losing all my might

Equipped myself with a new insight

That fear will be a companion

Whether or not I find it right

The fear oozed out of me

As fast as it could

I had nursed it with all the essentials

It left me pondering

Why do I feel so empty?

With a blast of insight

I shuddered to realize

My soul was ready to be impregnated again!
