Zakir Khan, a man who made ‘Being Single’ a Swag!
Happy Birthday, Zakir Khan: Thank you Haqq se Single banane Ke Liye
Zakir Khan has turned a year older today. Well, this man doesn’t need any introduction (Bhai ko koi introduction chahiye kya?) He rules young hearts because of his brilliant comic timings, and of course, because of his soul-stirring Shayari. His Haq se Single and Shaqt Launda is a rage. From writing to interviewing people, he has a lot of feathers on his cap. He went on to make being single a swag through his series called Haqq Se Single! It was like a boon for single people, especially ‘Bhai Tumhara warrior hai’! Later on, Bhai Tumhara Superman too came out! And we loved it all.
Zakir was born on 20th Of August 1987, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh where his grandfather had moved to from Rajasthan. Zakir’s Sun sign is Leo. Zakir’s father is a Music teacher and his mother is a homemaker. Apart from writing, poetry, and comedy, Zakir loves to play sitar. Hain? Bhai bahut talented hai!!

Here are a few interesting facts about him:
1. He has a diploma in Sitar. He was pursuing B.com but he left the course midway.
2. He wanted to become Radio Presenter and he did an internship for the same
3. During an interview, he had accepted that he was bullied as a child.
4. He rose to popularity after winning India’s best standup comedian competition organized by comedy central in 2012.
He redefined the meaning of success
He is very vocal about the fact that he was bullied for his looks and dark complexion, especially in his school. He proved in this delusional world, the only thing that matters is your hard work & talent. He often cracks jokes on himself. As they ‘Khud ko zyada seriously nhi lena chahiye’ that’s the only way to succeed in life. Thank you for being a true dream chaser, you chased your dreams and have inspired millions through your journey
Wishing you a year filled with happiness, not locked one but a year full of freedom!
