An accompanying close-up shot of the whale’s eye, Moore captioned: “It’s a privilege to swim among these majestic creatures. Respect their space: no need to chase after them, and with luck on some rare occasions, whales may also initiate interactions on their own terms. The moment of eye contact has been, I think, one of the deepest experiences of my life, beyond my wildest dreams.”
