A woman named Bhavana from Ohio recently shared her inspiring weight loss journey, revealing how she lost 16 kg by following a disciplined diet plan. Starting at 83 kg, Bhavana managed to reach her goal weight of 67 kg, shedding the weight through a balanced, healthy diet without skipping meals. Here’s a look at her daily diet routine.

Bhavana’s day starts with a cup of coffee around 8 a.m., after which she skips breakfast and opts for a balanced brunch around 11 a.m. For brunch, she has five different options to choose from, which include:

  1. Fruit bowl: Typically with fruits like apples, bananas, or strawberries.
  2. Overnight oats: Made with half a cup of oats, one cup of milk, two teaspoons of chia seeds, half a teaspoon of cocoa powder, and a tablespoon of honey.
  3. Egg omelet with veggies: Made with two eggs and mixed vegetables.
  4. Soaked dry fruits: A mix of 10 almonds, 10 cashews, 4 dates, 2 figs, and half a handful of raisins. She sometimes makes a smoothie using these ingredients along with soaked nuts and seeds.
  5. Vegetarian or non-vegetarian bowl: A choice between a veggie bowl with lentils, paneer bhurji, and yogurt, or a non-veg bowl with air-fried chicken, fish, or eggs, paired with a cup of yogurt and two dates.

For an afternoon snack around 2–3 p.m., Bhavana has light options, choosing between half a cup of yogurt with blueberries and honey, roasted chickpeas or makhana, or fruits like melons and cantaloupes.

Dinner is another balanced meal, where she again alternates between a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian bowl. For the vegetarian option, she eats lentils, paneer curry or bhurji, salads, or soya chunks curry. The non-veg bowl includes grilled or air-fried chicken, fish, or eggs.

While this diet plan helped Bhavana achieve her weight loss goals, she emphasizes that results can vary for different people.
