UP Woman Allegedly Poisons Husband’s Coffee After Quarrel, Files Complaint
A poor incident took place in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, wherein a 26-year-old woman apparently attempted to poison her husband, a 30-year-old Anuj Kumar, with toxic substances added to his coffee after an altercation. This event occurred on March 25, 2025, in Bhangela village, Khatauli. He is now in critical condition, showing the way this is already being made for some extremely dangerous incidents.
Background of the Relationship
Anuj Kumar, who works as an office assistant in a private hospital, has been married to Pinki (also known as Sana) for two years. The marriage between the couple was not very happy, as it involved lots of screaming and fighting. Eventually, Pinki resorted to filing a case for domestic violence against Anuj, in a police station in Ghaziabad. A final intervention by the local authorities brought about some progress in that the couple did agree to give it another try with Anuj taking Pinki back to their house for a week. This seemed not to make things any better. 
The Poisoning Incident
On the evening of March 25, after a quarrel of some intensity, Pinki is alleged to have made coffee for Anuj and secretly added a toxic element into it. Almost immediately after consuming the drink, Anuj suffered serious health complications, necessitating his transfer to a private hospital in Meerut, where doctors described his condition as critical and needing intensive care. Anuj’s sister, Meenakshi, filed the complaint with the police under official channels for proceedings to begin against the backdrop of the case.

Meenakshi alleges that Pinki was in love with someone else before her marriage and still communicates with the person without Anuj’s approval. Pinki is also accused of having been previously in contact with Anuj’s nephew and continuing to talk to her old boyfriend during Anuj’s absence. According to Meenakshi, after coming back from mediation, Pinki ominously said, “I have come back with a purpose,” thus sowing the seeds of doubt regarding preplanning of harm to Anuj.
Legal Actions and Investigations
A complaint was filed by the judiciary, in response to which police have instituted the case against Pinki on charges of attempted murder and domestic violence. Khatauli Circle Officer Ram Ashish Yadav confirmed having filed the case and assured an investigation undertaking to ascertain the facts and motives behind the incident. Currently, it is said that Pinki has gone back to her parental home and her whereabouts are currently being monitored.
