Tiger Shroff Death Case : Mumbai Police Arrest Punjab Man for False Threat

The incident raises concerning fingers that got things overboard to initiate an immediate investigation as Mumbai Police went into an inquiry into a supposed death threat against the Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. The incidence began after the police control room received a call of an alleged murder conspiracy against the actor, offering a “supari” (contract killing) of ₹2 lakh. However, a quick action and thorough investigations by Mumbai Police proved the entire episode is a hoax perpetrated by a former security guard from Punjab, who has since been arrested.

The Said Threat Pretty Much Prompted Police Action-

Last Monday, a man called in to claim that a security agency was trying to cut short Tiger Shroff’s life and that ₹2 lakh had been given to him accordingly along with a weapon. Since it was very delicate information and the person was high profile and thus the Mumbai Police immediately took it very well into account. Reportedly around the actor security measures were beefed in case, while a dedicated team started investigation by Khar police station to check facts of the claim.

Investigation Uncovering the Fabricated Story-

With time, details and discrepancies began to emerge from the investigation regarding the caller’s story. With the use of modern technology, the police were able to track the call to 35-year-old Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh from Kapurthala, Punjab. A team was dispatched to Punjab, and mere interrogation revealed as to what really happened regarding this alleged death threat. It turned out that Singh was a former security guard who had worked at a hotel in Khar, Mumbai, and was sacked because of habitual absenteeism and indiscipline.

The Revenge Motive Behind Imagined Make-up Call-

The reason for which the alarmist call was made by Singh was an act of revenge against his previous employers from the security agency where he had worked earlier and, specifically, targeted two higher executives. Singh made fabricated the whole murder plot just for framing these two and settling scores with his termination and the due salary. The Police Investigation proved what he said to be regarding the contract-kill, weapons, and the security agency involvement in a plot against Tiger Shroff was completely made up and baseless.

Accused Arrested and Booked-

The Mumbai Police have now filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh on getting confirmed that the threat to kill was false. He has been arrested under relevant sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which includes sections- 212 (furnishing false information),217 (giving false information with intent to cause a public servant to misuse lawful power to injure another person), and 353(2) (statements conducing to public mischief).
