Sahil Misused Saurabh’s Funds for Gambling, Trips with Muskan: Report
A former Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput from Meerut recently fell victim to murder which uncovered a horrifying tale about betrayal together with financial exploitation and heinous criminal activities. Sahil Shukla who served as both Muskan Rastogi’s lover and Saurabh’s wife’s accomplice misused her husband’s money for gambling activities which he used to fund trips with Rastogi while she adopted the deceased person’s identity according to investigation reports.
Financial Exploitation and Gambling
The records show that Sahil Shukla used Saurabh’s money for gambling purposes as he continued to play games. The profits derived from unauthorized activities were used by Muskan and Sahil to plan their pleasurable travels despite being derived from the victim’s resources.
The Murder and Subsequent Actions
Muskan together with Sahil murdered Saurabh through forced drug ingestion and multiple stabbing events on March 4 of 2025. Both Muskan and Sahil cut Saurabh into pieces which they placed inside a cement-filled drum before placing the container inside a rented apartment. After the murder the two individuals took a 15-day vacation to Shimla and Manali with money taken from the deceased.
Arrest and Incarceration
Sahil and Muskan received their arrest following their return from the trip. The accused showed intense drug withdrawal symptoms by rejecting food while requesting illicit drugs while detained at the jail. The law enforcement denied their request to share a housing facility yet they remain under strict hospital supervision at the moment. 
Legal Proceedings and Public Reaction
The Uttar Pradesh Police works to speed up this case through the use of fast-track court procedures. The extreme nature of the crime generated furious public reactions which resulted in lawyers delivering physical attacks against the defendants while courts were active. 
Implications
The case emphasizes that financial exploitation linked with infidelity can bring about violent end results. The situation reveals both addiction problems and how addicts will act to fulfill their addictive needs.
