Married women accounts for the highest number of suicide deaths in India, a study stated. The reason behind this is the arranged and early marriages, young motherhood, low social status, dowry, domestic violence among others. The southern states such as Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, and Tripura are among the most affected.
