YouTuber Samay Raina moved forward his India tour dates because of growing controversies stemming from his “India’s Got Latent” YouTube show. Public outrage and legal consequences pushed the organizers toward postponing the show due to questionable statements made by visitor Ranveer Allahbadia during his appearance on the broadcast.
Social media outrage and police complaints against Allahbadia and Raina arose after Allahbadia asked inappropriate questions to a reality show contestant about his parents. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has issued a March 19 formal interrogation order to Prashant Raina who did not appear on March 17 for questioning according to authorities. 
Through an Instagram post Raina notified his following audience that he was postponing the Indian tour schedules. The “Unfiltered” tour tickets have already sold out in advance and refunds will be processed soon until we meet again.” He promised his fans. 
The incident began discussions nationwide about digital content moderation and free expression in India’s online sphere. Online freedom of expression faces potential risks because this controversy has observers worried about likely increased regulation of digital content.
