Additionally New Delhi and Washington are currently negotiating a proposed bilateral trade agreement. By fall (September–October) of this year the two parties hope to have the first part of the agreement finalized.

Starlinks’ Arrival in India
Startlink has expressed interest in offering satellite-based internet services in the Indian market. The business is waiting on the government’s next spectrum policy to be clarified. Additionally the company’s permission is pending security clearance.
In March Reliance Jio announced that it had partnered with SpaceX owned by Elon Musk to offer Starlink satellite internet services in India. SpaceX and Bharti Airtel have also inked a comparable partnership agreement.
Competitors of Startlink Jio Satellite Communications and Eutelsat OneWeb which are supported by the Bharti Group have already received licenses from the government to provide satellite internet services for a period of approximately one and a half years.
However because the government has not yet finalized the rules for spectrum allocation these companies have not yet begun operations. After telecom regulator Trai solidifies its recommendation on the matter the spectrum allocation process will start.
Starlink is regarded as a disruptor in this market since it runs the largest constellation in the world with over 6750 satellites while Jios satellite partners run close to 70 and Eutelsat OneWeb has just over 600.
