Gujarat Election Results 2022 With a record-breaking 158 seats in the 182-member Assembly, the BJP won a big victory in the Gujarat elections on Thursday making Bhupendra Patel CM for the 7th time in Gujarat. The Congress put on the worst performance this time around, failing to build on the gains it had achieved in the 2017 elections while the AAP has made huge progress in the Patidar and tribal seats.
The voting for Gujarat Assembly Election 2022 took place in two stages.
The BJP, the Congress, and the AAP fought the 2022 Gujarat Assembly Election. The BJP has retained a lead in Gujarat for 27 years.
BJP has broken all previous records with this resounding win. Bhupendra Patel made political history as he won the most seats in the Gujarat Assembly and came back to power.
For the BJP in Gujarat, this will be their sixth straight victory. In previous elections, the party won in 1995, 1998, 2002, 2007, 2012, and 2017.
According to state BJP president C R Paatil, the oath-taking ceremony will take place on Monday 12th of december at 2 p.m. in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. At the BJP office in Gandhinagar, he was giving a press conference in the presence of Bhupendra Patel.
while addressing the media, said: “This is a win owing to PM Narendra Modi’s vision. I would like to thank the people of the state for having entrusted the BJP to run the state. I promise that we would work day and night to fulfil the PM’s vision of development in the state. I would also like to thank the people for not believing in the words said by the Opposition parties who just made baseless promises and statements to fool the people of Gujarat.”
The state has given the mandate for the Prime Minister’s progressive politics, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was seen leading the BJP’s campaign alongside PM Narendra Modi as the party was on course to a record-breaking victory in Gujarat. “Gujarat has given an unprecedented mandate to @narendramodi ji’s BJP, which has become the character of development and public welfare by rejecting those who do politics of hollow promises, revelry and appeasement. This massive victory has shown that every section be it women, youth or farmers, all are wholeheartedly with BJP,” he wrote on Twitter.
He added: “Gujarat has always done the work of creating history. In the last two decades, under the leadership of Modiji, the BJP broke all the records of development in Gujarat and today the people of Gujarat have blessed the BJP and broken all the records of victory. This is a victory of the unwavering faith of the public in the development model of @narendramodi.”
