It is good news for India as it has taken 42nd rank among 55 leading global economies on the International IP Index released by the US Chambers of Commerce.
Patrick Kilbride, Senior Vice President of the US Chamber of commerce global Innovation Policy Centre has said that India is ripe to become a leader for emerging markets seeking to transform their economy through IP-driven innovation.

Bringing immense joy to his homeland Anish Bhanwala won Bronze in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol on the final competition day of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup rifle/pistol in Cairo, Egypt.
After a wait of 12 years India got its rapid-fire pistol world cup medal. India finished its journey at the Cairo World Cup with 7 medals, including 4 golds.
Khush Khabri no.3: The unemployment rate drops to 7.2% in October-December 2022
As per the National Sample Survey Office(NSSO) report, the unemployment rate for persons aged 15 years and above in urban areas has come down to 7.2% from October to December 2022 from 8.7% a year ago.
As per the 17th Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS), the unemployment rate among females (aged 15 years and above) in urban areas reduced to 9.6% in October-December 2022 from 10.5% a year ago, whereas the unemployment rate among males in urban areas came down to 6.5% in October-December 2022 compared to 8.3% a year ago.
Good news no.4: Avani Prashanth wins the Sirikit cup title
Avani Prashanth scripted history as she became the 1st Indian golfer to win the Queen Sirikit Cup. Avani finished a record 10-stroke and outplayed Fiona Xu of New Zealand (68-73-72-69), who was 6 under for the week. The Indian team also finished 2nd in the tournament.
Good news no. 5: Kerala becomes the first to use robotic scavengers to clean manholes
Kerala became the first state to deploy robotic technology to clean all its commissioned manholes. The robotic scavenger, bandicoot got launched under the Guruvayur sewerage project in the Thrissur district.
It is equipped with robotic hands, similar to a man’s limbs. It is waterproof and features HD vision cameras and sensors that can detect harmful gases inside the manholes. Kerala-based Genrobotics has developed bandicoot.

Charu Sinha became the first woman Inspector General (IG) of the Srinagar sector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in September 2020

In conflict zones, Sinha played many vital roles as an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the 1996 batch. She has been a part of the anti-Maoist operations in Bihar, was responsible for the security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra conducted for the first time since the pandemic, and commanded 22 battalions of around 22,000 CRPF personnel in the Srinagar, Budgam, and Ganderbal districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
For the first time in the valley, Sinha held the position of a leader in the force. In 2022, she led a joint CRPF-police operation that killed Salim Parray, the top Lashkar-e-Taiba commander. A month after Article 370 was abrogated, Sinha was also posted in the valley. In Kashmir, Sinha went beyond policing and intelligence to mend bridges.
