The Indian army is gearing to procure 4.25lakh close-quarter battle carbines and 47627 bulletproof jackets as it has released two Requests for Information (RFI).

As per the RFI, the cabin must fire the in-service Indian 5.56 × 45mm ammunition and must be equipped with an effective range of not less than 200 meters.

In a first, the Uttar Pradesh assembly dedicates a special session to women legislators

Taking a first-of-its-kind initiative, Uttar Pradesh reserved a special assembly session dedicated to women members.

Squadron leaders Parul Bhardwaj and Swati Rathore will operate Chinook helicopter units near LAC in the northern and eastern sectors. Previously these squadron leaders were flying the Russian-origin Mi-17V5 helicopters.
