Wing Commander Deepika Misra, a pilot of the Indian Air Force, has become the first woman to win the prestigious Vayu Sena medal.
In August, she was recognized for her role in flash floods in Madhya Pradesh. She is a Qualified Flying Instructor and an Instrument Rated Instrument and examiner.

As part of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav, a new world record is created for creating a geological map of India through a human chain.
The World Book of Record has recognized this achievement. More than 5000 school students, social workers, and others took part in this initiative organized by a social institution, ‘Jwala’ at Divya Shaktipeeth.
Khush Khabri: The postal department sells over 1 crore national flags
As a result of the Har Ghar Tiranga movement, the Postal Department sold more than one crore national flags in 10 days with its omnipresent network of 1.5 lakh post offices. National flags are sold through post offices and online at a very economical price of ₹25. More than 1.75 lakh flags are sold online through the e-post Office facility. Citizens can buy flags from Post Offices till 15 August 2022.
Good news: ‘Largest Human Image of Waving a National Flag’ Guinness World Record

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign added a feather to its cap as a new Guinness Book of World Records created in the Union Territory of Chandigarh for the largest human image of a waving national flag.
This particular flag was created with human formations and presented like the flag waving in the picture. 5885 people took part in this noble initiative. It has also broken the record made in the UAE years ago.

The government hospitals across all the districts of UP will now have dedicated wards reserved for the transgender community members.
As per the 2011 census, there are 1.37 lakh transgender people in UP. As a result, the initiative will have a more significant impact on a larger audience.The state government has started distributing identity cards to transgender people to help them provide government welfare schemes.

The French government is honouring Shashi Tharoor for his speeches and writings. The French Ambassador, Emmanuel Lenain, has written to Tharoor about the award.Shashi, the youngest person in 1978 to receive a doctorate in International Relations and Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, at the age of 22, has previously received several awards and honours.
In 2012, the monarchy of Spain honoured him with the ‘Royal and Distinguished Spanish Order of Charles III’ for his actions benefiting the country and The Crown.
