Good news: Neeraj Chopra sets New Javelin Throw National Record of 89.94m
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra clinched his 1st top 3 finish at the prestigious Diamond League Meeting with a national record-shattering effort.
Neeraj Chopra, 24, broke his national record of 89.30m earlier this month at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku with a throw of 89.94m at the Diamond League. Grenada’s Anderson Peters won the competition with 90.31m, the season’s best throw.
Khush khabri: Kashmir sees record highest tourist footprints in the decade
Tourism in Kashmir is at its peak of success as it witnessed the arrival of more than 12 lakh tourists this year. This is the highest in a decade.
J&K welcomed around 1.42 lakh tourists in February alone, breaking the seven-year record. On April 4 this year, the Srinagar International Airport marked the busiest day in history, with 15014 people travelling on 90 flights in and out of Kashmir.

Lakshika Dagar, a 21-year-old from Ujjain, won the three-tier panchayat election and became the youngest lady sarpanch in Madhya Pradesh.
The polls were held in the Chintaman-Jawasiya gram panchayat of the Ujjain district. This time, the sarpanch seat for the gram mentioned above panchayat was reserved for the Scheduled Caste (SC) women category.
Eight women were running for the position of sarpanch. Lakshika, the youngest candidate, won the election.
She holds a postgraduate diploma in mass communication and works as a radio jockey in Ujjain. Her father, Dilip Dagar, is a regional officer in the Co-operative Central Bank of the Ujjain district.
Khush khabri: Now track your period with WhatsApp
WhatsApp has become more than just a messaging app. Women can now track their menstrual cycles using WhatsApp. Sirona, a feminine hygiene brand, has launched India’s first-period tracker on WhatsApp. Users can keep track of their periods by sending a “Hi” to Sirona’s WhatsApp Business Account at 9718866644.
In the press release, Sirona said that the period tracking tool could track three goals – track periods, conceive, and avoid pregnancy. Users must enter details about their periods and last period pieces. The chatbot will keep a record and share reminders and upcoming cycle dates per the user’s goal.
Guinness World Record: From Leh to Manali, this woman Cycled for 56 hours
A cyclist from Maharashtra’s Pune, Preeti Maske, has set a new Guinness World Record by becoming the fastest woman to cycle to Manali from Leh by herself. Preeti, who began her journey from Leh on June 22 to Manali, covered more than 430 kilometres and reached her goal in approximately 55 hours and 13 minutes on June 25.
Preeti had 60 hours to complete her journey under the record. Her record-breaking journey was kicked off by Brigadier Gaurav Karki, the chief engineer of BRO (Border Roads Organisation), on June 22 in Leh. It was received in Manali on June 24 by Colonel Shabarish Vachali, the BRO’s 38 Border Roads Task Force commander.
