Good news: 13 major cities in India will get 5G connectivity

India will experience 5G internet connectivity very soon as the government of India has given its nod to the 5G spectrum auctions. 5G will enable a ten times faster speed than the 4G network in India.

Initially, 13 major cities will get 5G connectivity. The list includes Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Jamnagar, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Kolkata.

Khush Khabri: Indian Railways to connect Sikkim with the rest of India

Sikkim is set to witness a historical moment in its growth story as the Indian Railways will link Sikkim with the rest of the country through the Sivok- Rangpo railway line project.

It is 44.96 kilometers long with 14 tunnels, with the longest tunnel of 5.27 kilometers and the smallest tunnel of 0.538 kilometers. There will be five railway stations at Sivok, Riyang, Melli, Ranpo and Teesta Bazaar.

Good news: 5 tourist villages in Dal Lake in J-K to be developed as tourist villages

The Indian government will develop five villages in the Dal Lake area as tourist villages. The list includes Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kachri Mohalla, Sofi Mohalla, Tinda Mohalla, Akhoon Mohalla, and a vegetable market.

They will feature all basic facilities for residents, tourists, and visitors. They will also have homestay facilities for tourists. This initiative is a part of the Tourist Development Programme under the Mission Youth initiative.

Khush Khabri: First of its kind bird festival to be held in Kashmir valley

Kashmir valley is set to witness an avian festival, the first of its kind bird festival. This move is expected to boost ecotourism.

It will be an additional source of livelihood for locals. The festival will be organized in Pahalgam and Dachigam areas. There will be bird watching sessions, awareness camps, and conservation drives. Bird watching trails will be established across Jammu and Kashmir.

Good news: Taj named as world’s strongest hotel brand

Indian Hotel Company’s “TAJ” has been rated as the world’s strongest hotel brand according to the latest brand valuation consultancy “Brand Finance.” It received an overall Brand Strength Index of 88.9 out of 100, with a corresponding AAA rating for customer familiarity, employee satisfaction, and corporate reputation.

Khush Khabri: Goa to get its 2nd international airport

Tourism in Goa may flourish as it is expected to have its 2nd international airport, Mopa Airport. This airport will kick start its functioning on September 1, 2022.

Located in North Goa, approximately 35 km from the capital, Mopa Airport is a green field airport in Pernem. It is expected to bring down the air traffic load from the existing Dabolim Airport. With the new civilian airport, the state expects to see an increase in visitors.

Good news: Paralysed UK man scales Mount Kilimanjaro in a wheelchair
