WITH THE AIM TO FLY!

“If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, will answer you: I am here to live out loud.”

― Émile Zola

Jyoti Kalra, the mind behind UCHAAN- RISES TO CONQUER, has always been inclined to art and probably amongst those who are God-gifted with this talent. Though her studies have been completely different from that of her dream, the motive and will to be an artist never went into drain. Her passion and love for painting finally gave her the wings to display it on a larger level with the help of her husband. “I am an artist and have been painting since childhood. I always had group of artists in contact so I thought why not to conduct a group show. My motive is to bring visibility & credibility to the works of deserving talented artists who have the potential to make it big in the mainstream discourse. My first show was in March of 2014 which was a big hit and after which I gained confidence to hold another show ‘Shringar’.”

Although the exhibition was more about painting and sculpting, one would also come across few photographs and sketches. The uniqueness of this art-show is that the eminent artists are sharing the stage with budding artists. “I wanted the budding artist to learn from the prominent artists about various things of life and painting. It is very rare that the prominent artists accept to exhibit their work with new lot and I am glad I could do that.” says Jyoti.

Another thing that made this event special was that one could witness artists working right there, in front of your eyes, for example- Amit Kapoor painted a beautiful picture depicting monsoon on his canvas and S.C.Ahuja a well known sculptor made a sculpture right there explaining the procedure. And finally the third reason, the exhibition was not located in any art-gallery but in middle of very famous mall of Gurgaon, Gold Souk who took the initiative of giving a performing space for all the participating artists. The exposition focused on presentation of variegated facets of nature, human life and their reciprocity which is a tribute to women & embellishment of her beauty through the latest exhibition.
