The Supreme Court of India has lifted the ban on beef in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir for two months.
This was in wake of a petition filed by the state government, which asked for clarification, as two diametrically opposed orders had been passed by the J&K High Court in two different cases pertaining to beef ban, one allowing sale, while the other banned it.
