Made his debut in Bollywood with movie ‘Student of the year’, Varun Dhawan, who is playing role of Chirpy role of college student in his upcoming movie, ‘Main Tera Hero’, would be seen locking his lip on the screen, for the first time, with his beautiful co-star Ileana D’cruz.
‘Main Tera Hero’ directed by his father, David Dhawan the king of comedy, is remake of a Telugu movie ‘Kandireega’.
Varun, who believes in entertainment rather than in fame says “Money and fame don’t feature in my list. I have seen my father gaining name and fame but I believe even for him audience is more important rather than earning money.”

Even for him, appearing under lime-light wasn’t a walk on piece of cake. Even he has to work as assistant director for Shahrukh Khan’s movie ‘My name is Khan’ before appearing on silver screen. Varun believes in experimenting and wants to entertain his audiences by playing different roles. He further adds that he do not believe in competing with someone else but in competing with himself and he also says that he isn’t here to prove himself to any one in film industry.
He says that his upcoming movie ‘Main tera Hero’ is meant for all, unlike ‘Student of the Year’ which was meant largely for youngsters. He adds that ‘Main tera Hero’ has got him recognition among children, elders and middle-aged people.
When asked about what he thinks is best in him, Varun says that he knows and realises what stardom is. He mentions that today he might be having fan following and girls do run behind me. But, as soon as he will stop giving good performances, all this will disappear. People do praise his work and he is happy about it, but his challenge is to put forward good work every time.

Varun said he agreed to do his father’s film for emotional and not commercial reasons.
“I did this film for emotional reason than commercial. This is my dad’s 43rd film and my second film. To work with an established director like him in the early stage of my career is a blessing,” Varun said.
Commenting on his experience of working with Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D’cruz, Varun says that working with these two beautiful ladies has been a wonderful experience. Also, when Varun was asked about his upcoming movies other than ‘Main tera Hero’, he said that people are going to see completely different shade of him very soon.
‘Main tera Hero’ is all set to release on April 4th 2014, now all that is left to see is would Varun Dhawan be able to scorch the temperature with his on-screen kiss and make himself hero for all.
