Infact Martine came to New York to do diploma in fashion designing. “I found the whole process boring and then switched over to visual art. Later I taught of taking jewellery designing seriously. Necklace was my first stuff and it was dedicated to my mom who gave me all the support to continue with my passion,” Martine said

Her real break when she started working as an in turn with DKNY, which turned into full time position. My boss started taking interest in my work and introduced me to the creative head, who in turn asked to design exclusive jewellery for Nylon magazine. That was my first big break and people started recognising my work all over,” Martine said. Even Dona Karan started taking interest in her work and encouraged to do more work for her company.

Regarding her association with Kylie, it was all started when Martine held a Trunk show in New York. Kylie happened to be there and liked her collection. When she saw their mutual friends wearing it and rocking Kylie contacted her for producing exclusive stuff for her Teen Vogue shot. “It was the beginning. My association with Kylie and Teen Vogue still continuing,” the young designer informed.

Her new collection includes bracelets and necklaces inspired by industrial elements. She created timeless collection from stones to wires and chains to nails in golden, black and silver colours. “For my new collection I combined the organic and inorganic to create a look that is artsy and earthy. My clients are teen agers and young celebrities and my association with Kylie is going to stay as both of us have same vision,” Martine said.
