Two years ago Uber started to provide an alternative way to catch a taxi in India by just calling on its app.
It has had an interesting exposure in India and now it seems will further grow more than 40% on a monthly basis. It has hailed a successful investment from one of TATA’s Investment fund groups for a whopping $100 million.
The needed investment would create a better expansion network to other metro cities in India. Uber is hoping to get a million taxi riders in a day within the next six to nine months.
