Take Away Tikkas (Pointers)

The reincarnation of Shakti has been done within us. The nine days have got us connected to ourselves, have energized us and have unraveled our powers many folds without us noticing them. What is our take away from Navratri and Dushehra? We had gone shopping for the Goddess collecting her dresses, Sringaar, coconuts, fruits, dry fruits, beetle leaves, Supari and last but not the least, we all had watched Ram lila with great enthusiasm. After the Dushehra, we have been busy winding up. But we haven’t had time to sit and think what the take back from the energy-filled 10 days is?

The nine days we asked the Goddess of Infinite Powers to bless us with our worldly and spiritual wishes. Each of the nine days, when in front of the Goddess, we have repeated our wishes. We really really needed a new car, a beautiful house, good education, become celebrity, achieve our goals on time, get promoted, higher business profits, smart kids and so on. But did any of us listen to the Goddess, the mother of the universe, what she wants from us. She must have had some wishes from us too. If not, now is the time. Sit down for a minute and connect to the Goddess and ask her, what she wants from us. Listen to her carefully as there are hidden messages.

But for sure, below are some of the take awaytikkas from the past ten days.

  1. Be sincere and consistent in your efforts.
  2. Always be focused on your goals.
  3. Whatever wishes you have been asking the Goddess all this while, start working to achieving them; after all it is the man of action, the lion heart that the goddess of wealth resorts to. And in a few days from now you would be welcoming the Goddess of wealth. Festivals can be colorless without this Goddess.
  4. Never take up any immoral tasks (learning from Ramayana)
  5. Never think that a woman is weak, for a woman is the reincarnation of Durga, Shakti.
  6. Never think that because the Goddess is with you, you can do whatever you feel like. Learn to work within your boundaries.
  7. Learn to be on time, in time … dot on time. So accomplish your tasks as per the deadlines and targets set.

So, time has come to understand what our Rishis have always wanted to communicate to us. Let us understand the true meaning of our festivals. Let us understand how to celebrate them in true sense. Let us unravel our own tradition.
