Swimwear with a difference: Learn more about Burkini concept :- Though “Burkini” became controversial, Aheda Zanneti, who invented it, says that nothing abnormal with the concept. “Some people have misunderstood Burkini concept. It has nothing to do with particular religion; no matter their religion anyone could wear it. It is not harming anyone in any way,” said Zanneti.
In fact, she designed Burkini in 2014 keeping in mind Australian women in mind. ;Australians have a colour life on the beach and she designed Burkini for Muslim women who want to cover the body like a hijab so as to participate in some activities on the beach. “Burkini was designed for freedom, flexibility, and confidence.”
Luxury brands like Marks and Spence recently launched stylish “Burkini’ in the British market. The product is designed to adhere to strict modesty standards. Brands spokesperson informed the media that the new version has already popular in Dubai and Libya and promise to cover the body without compromising the style factor.
The three piece stuff comes in two styles- a blue floral number and a black version with a paisley print.
Dolls and Gabbana are the latest brands to enter in Burkini market. They feel it has a market and more and women especially women are taking a keen interest in it. They offer a modest wear, hot on the heels of other brands including Tommy Hilfiger.

Interestingly while some western countries have reservation about Burkini, India as in the other part of non-western nations do not kind if women, in general, wants coverage in the pool and on the beach as they feel coverage is simply essential for comfort. Bollywood stars may be flaunting their bodies in two piece suit a study finds out that in India women like to wear “modest” swimwear, “Burkini type of swimwear is popular in India as Indian women in general are not yet ready to flaunt their body in public. This style has been popular here for many years now.
