On Tuesday, the doctors of Kamlaraja Hospital in Gwalior performed two surgeries under the light of just a torch due to power failure.
Around 10 in the morning, the hospital’s power suddenly went off and the operation theatres became all black and dark. At that time two women were being operated upon in two separate operation theatres.

The hospital staff struggled with the generator for some light for sometime but did not succeed. In the end the doctors had to continue the surgery with the help of a torch light.
The power supply got restored in more than 15 minutes. According to the sources, HOD of gynaecology Dr Jyori Bindal immediately informed hospital superintendent Dr JS Sikarwar about it. The power supply took time to get restored as the room with the generator was locked.
