Study says common blood test can predict risk of second cardiac arrest!
According to a study, a common blood test can be used to predict the risk of second stroke.
As per the scientists, they have linked high levels of C- Reactive Protein, an enzyme found in the blood with increased risk for recurrent ischemic stroke.
Notably, C – reactive protein is produced in the liver in response to inflammation. The new finding suggested that it could be very useful as this could help doctors to predict risk in advance via genetics.
In fact, CRP levels alone could be a useful tool in assessing risk after the initial stroke.
