State Jammu& Kashmir will soon get a branch IIT
According to latest reports, state Jammu and Kashmir is all set to get a branch of IIT. The Memorandum of Understanding between the state government and IIT Delhi was already signed on Sunday.
Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Nirmal Singh informed that a land of 625 – acre plot of land has been approved in the Jagti township of Nagrota, where the institute is supposed to constructed.

The demand of the state was pending since a long time and finally the MoU was signed between the state government and IIT Delhi.
Notably , centre is also planning to make 10 public and as many private institutes world – class, which will be a big step in the education sector. HRD Minister, Smriti Irani herself confirmed it , today in Lok Sabha.
