Walt Disney said that it will open the new Shanghai Disney Resort on June 16. The $ 5.6 billion resort. Disney’s first on mainland China features the company’s tallest castle, two hotels and a pirate’s themed land.
In a recent interview Chairman and Chief executive officer Bob Lger said that a slowdown in the Chinese economy and decline in the stock market there hadn’t dimmed his optimism for the project.
It is under construction since 2011. Disney owns 13% of the resort. This is one of the largest theme parks.
