Sakshi Malik engaged to her wrestler boyfriend:- Rio Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik, who made each and everyone proud, got engaged to her wrestler boyfriend Satyawart Kadian at her residence in Rohtak.
Sakshi Malik and Satyawart were dating each other from a long time and finally both of them decided to settle down. Sakshi was always open about her relationship. The 24-year-old wrestler had earlier spoken about Satyawart in the media.
Satyawart’s father Arjuna Awardee Satyavan Pehelwan was very elated to bring Rio Olympic medallist Sakshi Malik their home as their daughter-in-law, he was quoted saying “It was a private function. Only the families of the to-be bride and groom attended the event and it went very well.” Apart from this Sakshi’s boyfriend turned fiancé Satyawart, 22, is two years younger to Sakshi and trains at his father’s akhada in Rohtak.
He won his first bronze medal at the 2010 Youth Olympics. The two were said to have fallen in love during wrestling tournaments. About Satyawart, Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi had earlier said, “He is very supportive and thinks of my dreams as his own.”
Wedding bells for Sakshi and Satyawart
Though, Sakshi has earlier also revealed about the Satyawart openly in media but their engagement news came as a surprise for many of us. Both of them are very much in love with each other and now families got them engaged too, but according to latest buzz there are no plans for wedding yet, as both of them are really busy with their tournament schedules.
But God knows may be they tie a knot soon and too come as a shock for us. In a recent interview sports sensation Sakshi said she will soon be taking wedding vows with a fellow wrestler. Sakshi however, did not reveal identity of the person and added that he is supportive of her preparations for Tokyo Olympics 2020. Sakshi became the first female wrestler from the country to win an Olympic medal, when she came back from being 0-5 down to defeat Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan 8-5 in the repechage round. With that she became only the fourth wrestler from the country to win a medal in Olympics.
