Reliance could buy oil from Iran after five years
According to a report, Reliance Industries Limited, who is the owner the world’s biggest refining complex is expected to buy Iran oil next month after a gap of five years.
Notably, the refining giant that is controlled by Mukesh Ambani, stopped Iranian oil imports in year 2010 because the company was worried by US sanctions threat on the companies that were doing business with Islamic countries hamper its fuel industry growth in US.
Interestingly, with this shipment Reliance will become Iran’s first new Indian oil customer since the lifting of the sanctions. According to sources some officials from the company recently visited Iran to chalk out the details of the deal.
