Though, there are different names for it across the nation but popularly the sweet dish is known as Modak.

Muilk and Banana Modak: They have the outer covering of Rava and stuffed with banana, coconut and jaggery and then are deep fried.
Kesari Modak: They are orange in color and are deep fried but they are not sweet as coconut Modak.
Uppu Kozhukatthai: Well, this one is a salty version. If you want something spicy you can try this one. Outer covering remain same but it is stuffed with urad dal and spices.
Ukadiche Modak: It is the most popular among all the modaks. It is prepared with rice flour and wheat flour and stuffed with coconut and jaggery.
