Recipe for Moong Daal Appam
1. 1 cup mong daal
2. ½ (small) finely chopped onion
3. ½ (small) finely chopped tomato
4. ½ cup (grated) bottle gourd
5. 2 tbsp (chopped) capsicum
6. 1 tbsp oil
7. Salt according to taste
8. 2 pinch turmeric powder
9. 1 green chilly
10. Water as required
METHOD
Soak moong daal in water for 1-2 hours. Grind the soaked moong daal with green chillies into a smooth paste.
Mix all the vegetables in ground mixture. Put salt according to taste and turmeric powder and mix well.
Add water if required to get dropping consistency.
Grease the appam pan with oil and heat.
Pour the mixture into the pan and cook the appam from both the sides till it turns golden brown.
Serve hot with any sauce.
