Ramdev goes on the defensive to get out of Noodle tangle
It seems that instant noodles are not only the favourite snack of India, but also the food industry watchdog FSSAI.
Taking advantage of the Maggi ban, our very own Baba Ramdev decided to come out with his ‘Patanjali’ noodles.
However, no sooner had he launche the product, the FSSAI went on the offensive, saying that his noodles are illegal, as they have not been approved by them (the FSSAI).
Rubbishing this, the good Baba said “ Our representatives are going to the FSSAI headquarters with original copies of the selling license, along with the manufacturer’s licence. It seems there is an inssue of lack of coordination and it could be resolved by sitting together.”
This was in response to the statement of FSSAI Chairperson Ashish Bahuguna saying that no approval or licence was granted for these noodles.
