Raghav Chandak a Cancer patient secured 95.8% in ICSE
Refusing to kneel down infornt of cancer, Raghav Chandak took his textbooks and notes to his hospital bed, to fulfill his desire to excel in ICSE.
Chandak has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in April, last year and after which he was able to attend the school for only two months.
He got his notes from his cousin, who fortunately was in the same class as Chandak.
He was in hospital for one and a half month at a stretch, and later he had to visit for about seven day in a month to the hospital for chemotherapy, which weakened his immune system but not his spirit and courage to fight.
Raghav Chandak an ICSE top scorer
His father Manoj Chandak acknowledged school efforts as they supported them whenever needed and even asked to call up teachers directly for any help. Class notes were also made available to him when he was going through his chemotherapy sessions in Tata Medical Centre.
His parents told that they even went to school and told them about Raghav’s condition and the school ensured them by saying that you take care of his medical conditions and we will take care of his studies.
Raghav said that it would have not been possible without his parents, cousin, teachers, friends and his doctor’s support.
He is a football fan and dreams to be in IIT after school.
Raghav is indeed a brave boy with a fighter spirit and hopefully he will win his battle over Cancer and come out as a champion.
