Prevention Tips for mosquito-borne diseases
As the season of monsoon continues, it is important for all the people being aware of the available precautions that could guard against mosquito-borne diseases.
Here are few of the tips:
∙ Try wearing long-sleeved shirts and also long pants
∙ Stay in places which supports air conditioning or that use the window and door screens to keep these mosquitoes outside
∙ Use the repellents registered by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). When used as the directed, EPA-registered insect repellents which are proven to be safe and effective, even for the pregnant and breast-feeding women.

∙ Always follow the product label instructions
∙ Reapply insect repellent as directed
∙ Do not spray any repellent on the skin under your clothing
∙ If you are in any case using sunscreen, apply it before applying insect repellent
∙ Dress your child in clothing that covers arms and legs, or cover crib, stroller, and baby carrier with mosquito netting
∙ Do not apply insect repellent onto your child’s hands, eyes, mouth, and also on the cuts or irritated skin
∙ For Adults: Spray insect repellent onto your hands and then apply it to a child’s face
